Local Little is a free finder for kids’ classes in Westchester, built and run by one person. This page says exactly what is stored, why it is stored, and the one situation in which anything is passed to somebody else.
What is stored
Your email, and your first name if you give it. The site asks for an email once, before you search. It is used to know how many people are trying the site and to reply if you get in touch. There is no password and no newsletter.
What you searched for. Each search records the age, activities, days, times and start window you chose, the town you searched near, and how many providers came back. This is what shows which searches return nothing, which is how the missing classes get found.
Which classes you opened.When you open a class, or follow one through to a provider’s own site, that is recorded against the search it came from.
A visitor id. A random identifier kept in your browser so repeat visits can be told apart from new ones. It is not linked to anything outside this site.
Where you arrived from, if a link carried a tag — for example a post that links here with ?src= on the end.
What is not stored
- No password — there is no account to log in to.
- No payment details. Local Little never takes a payment.
- No precise location. Choosing “Use my location” asks your browser for coordinates, uses them to sort providers by distance for that search, and stores the town you searched near rather than the coordinates themselves.
- No advertising trackers, and no third-party analytics. Nothing on this site reports to Google, Meta or anyone else.
Who it is shared with
One case only. If you ask us to put you in touch with a provider, the name and the email or phone you enter on that form — and anything you write in the note — are passed to that provider so they can contact you about that class. Nothing else is passed, and nothing is passed to any other provider.
Your search history and the classes you looked at are never shared with providers.
Where it lives
In a database run by Render, the hosting provider for this site. It is not sold, and it is not used for advertising.
Removing it
Email hello@locallittle.com and everything tied to your email address will be deleted. No form and no account needed. Clearing your browser storage also clears the visitor id, which ends the link between your past and future visits.
Children
The site is for parents and carers, not children. The only detail about a child that is ever recorded is the age you pick as a search filter, which is not attached to a name.
Changes
If what is collected changes, this page changes with it and the date above moves.
